Not all camera cards will work in every model camera. Try a different brand. Usually the cheapest cards are pretty universal.

My kodac wont format the sd card. it does this over and over.it says format but wont format

What model Kodak camera? Are you sure you have an SD card, 2GB or smaller? Many Kodak models won't work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Kodak camera won't format sd card

Your older camera can only use 2GB or less standard SD card. It can not be used with the new 4GB or higher SDHC cards. Fortunately, 2GB cards are relatively inexpensive these days, and may be found on Amazon if your local store no longer carries them.

Why is my camera going round and round in circle when trying to format my memory card?

I'm suspecting that you are trying to use a new 4GB or larger SDHC card with your older model camera. Please note that your model camera can only use 2GB or less standard SD cards (and NOT SDHC). 2GB SD cards are inexpensive, and still available on Amazon.com if your local store no longer carries them.

I Have a Kodak Easy Share Z730. Just replaced the memory card keeps telling me that it (card) needs to be formatted. When I hit continue it pauses for a second then goes back to the same warning....WHat...

You need to buy a 2GB or less standard SD card, as your camera was manufactured well before the 4GB SDHC format card came out (look on your card, I'm guessing that's what you purchased). Sorry, but your camera cannot work with a SDHC card, only SD. 2GB SD cards are relatively inexpensive these days, and can be found on Amazon if your local store no longer carries them.

Will an 8 GB SDHC card work with a kodak easyshare cx6230? We put it in and it says we need to format, but it won't format. Message says to use another card.

These can usually only hold 2 to 4 gig cards. Many only do 2 gigs or less. On the other hand some can handle more memory but only certain brand names.

I purchased a new memory card for my kodak easy share c530 camera and it will not format it. I keep getting an error message filesys error e00100.

Check the specifications of the camera. The card may be an SDHC which may not be compatible with the camera. SDHC is relatively new and will not work with most older cameras

Need to know what memory card can i purchase and where for kodak easy share c530 my camera is old haven't used much I have a 1.0gb sandisk can i use a 2gb sandisk.

I had a look and it seems 1GB is about the Maximum? yes Sandisk is a good brand. Frankly anything that works well is OK.
Buy a good brand of card ... SanDisk is my favorite.
Kodak would certainly be a good choice too.
Don't buy it on eBay, as there are too many counterfeit cards available on eBay.

A Tip:
If you use a card reader, you will need a SDHC card reader if you use a SDHC card.
Most older card readers can not read a SDHC card.

Tip number 2:
Always format a new card with the Camera before taking any pictures.
You will find how to format with the camera in the camera User Manual.

Can not format memory card

I had that problem too back in the day and the camera wouldn't format the card. I believe it's an early sign of the camera on it's last legs of life.

Just plug the card into your computer and do it that way... Also double check that your memory card isn't set on the lock position that could be making the memory card a read only card at the moment
