Re: Changing low beam headlight bulb on 2005 chrysler...
You can change the passanger side with little difficulty however the drivers side you need to remove power cell from it's bracket and move aside in order to access light.

, try using a voltmeter on the plug for the bad headlights Turn on the
ignition, and turn the headlight switch. If the voltmeter shows no voltage, then
either your switch or the wiring leading to the headlight has gone bad.If replacing your headlight switch does not solve the problem, then
there is a break in the wiring leading to the headlight, and the wiring will
need to be replaced. also check to see if you have a relay for the low beams in fuse and relay box, check this first !
it is most likely a blown fuse as the HIGH & LOW beam lights may have separate fuses, check the fuses in the fuse box under the hood or under the dash...... hope this helps......cheers.
Unfortunately, the answer I have is not a happy one =(. My wife has a 2005. In order to replace the bulb you will have to pull the Crutons (plastic push pins) that hold the front bumber cover on, remove the Headlight housing & replace the bulb that way. Shame on Chrysler for making it so difficult, in my opinion. But I hope this helps you to change the bulb =)
The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly,
behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator
support.
You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam
(separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and
lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal
adjustment screws as well
Park
your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height
from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall. Also mark where the center of the bulbs would be (do this for highs beams
and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same
bulb, only do it for the lows)
For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then
aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall.
If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall. For horizontal, aim the hot spot directly at the line you marked for the center of your bulbs
For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.
easy cheesy! Ive changed mine twice. The headlights are small bulbs. Make sure you get the right one (hi-beam vs low-beam). Unplug connector at back of bulb / headlamp unit, remove rubber weather seal (pops right ot). The bulb is held in with a small wire clip that is hard to get back on but can be done. Its spring loaded. Drop wire clip, turn bulb assya 1/4 turn, and it comes right out. Remove bulb from holder and replace. Reverse steps and VOILA!
Lift up the hood, the bulbs are changed from the engine compartment
behind the lamp are connectors, pull it off, and the retainer that holds the bulb in
replace bulb
replace retainer
replace wire
close hood
usually takes longer to type than to do
