Toshiba won't boot vista.

Toshiba laptop won't boot Vista, problem apparently solvable through use of windows repair avec the windows vista disc. The issue here is the laptop didn't come with a vista disc, so I'm assuming there's some built in mechanism i'm entirely unaware of.

You can goto start>>program>>accessories>>sytem tools>>system restore.
you will see a pop up with "restore system files and settings" you have a choice of last restore point (the system will give you a date.) or you can choose different restore date.
thenjust follow the instruction.
if this can not fix the porblem, then you need to get a contact the manufacture, see if they can help you to restore the sysem.

Nowadays most laptops come with the software already built in. The only thing i can think of is you'l need to buy a windows vista disc (any computer store) and re-install it. hope i helped.

Try "startup repair" which preserves your existing user files:

If you don't have the Vista DVD from which to boot to perform the repair, download just the repair disc from here: Windows Vista Recovery Disc Download — The NeoSmart Files

My toshiba a215-s4807 satellite, with windows vista won't boot with my mat uj-851s cdrom drive hooked up. I had the same problem with my older version, the mat uj-850s but just figured it was brok

You can change the boot up order of devices in the BIOS. Go into the BIOS setup then to Boot up order and move the CD/DVD dirve as the first boot device and the hard drive as the 2nd boot device.
Then you boot up with a disc in the CD/DVD drive.

You need to format your Laptop or you can try replacing the Boot files from another Laptop.
You can try repairing your OS by booting the original disc.

Some of my files in my windows vista are corrupted and i do not have its driver.how to format it?

Insert Vista disk, boot and tap the DEL key, change boot sequence to CD first, reboot,

If you format all data will be lost.

If thats what you want there should be a backup disc with laptop that will give options to re-install Vista, including repair facility.

Laptop will not load windows vista from bios mode. I have tried recovery discs but still NG, from start up goes past bios & then stops as Vista is starting.

have you tried a system restore and then booting up? I had an issue booting up with vista and tapping Alt+F10 during BIOS fixed, it seems to skip the corrupted part of the boot.

I have a toshiba laptop that shows Bootmgr missing. I don't have the vista installation disk as I bought the computer used. Is there anyway to fix this issue?

if your PC's boot disk got bumped out of wack, you can often fix it right back up using the original Vista installation disk, which comes with a pretty extensive System Recovery Tool that's got lots of options ,Set your computer to boot from DVD (using the Boot setting in the BIOS), insert the disc and restart. Vista will prompt you for language and keyboard layout options, then ask if you want to reinstall Vista or repair your installation. You want Repair. From there Vista's System Recovery Tool will take over, and lead you down the road to happy vistages again

Un probl?me avec un pc LG

Bonne chance!
