Toshiba laptop won't boot Vista, problem apparently solvable through use of windows repair avec the windows vista disc. The issue here is the laptop didn't come with a vista disc, so I'm assuming there's some built in mechanism i'm entirely unaware of.

You can goto start>>program>>accessories>>sytem tools>>system restore.
you will see a pop up with "restore system files and settings" you have a choice of last restore point (the system will give you a date.) or you can choose different restore date.
thenjust follow the instruction.
if this can not fix the porblem, then you need to get a contact the manufacture, see if they can help you to restore the sysem.

if your PC's boot disk got bumped out of wack, you can often fix it right back up using the original Vista installation disk, which comes with a pretty extensive System Recovery Tool that's got lots of options ,Set your computer to boot from DVD (using the Boot setting in the BIOS), insert the disc and restart.
