I have a dell latitude laptop, all was fine when the next moment my computer completely switched off. On restarting it, I noticed the battery light flashing orange:red - or is it green:red continuasly. If I disconnect the AC cable the computer shuts down immediately. When selecting the battery icon on the right hand side (bottom) of the computer it shows battery 0%, when I double click it shows me online, critical. I am under the impression that the battery is not charging at all. how do I correct this?

Off hand, I'd say overheating is a possibility so try using a can of compressed air to blow out the cooling vents and also run diagnostics on the cooling fan (Power plus Fn key to enter diags) If diags finds a hardware issue call Dell Tech
