Question about Computers & Internet
I am trying to upgrade my 512Mb of RAM to 1024Mb. I have removed the two 256Mb sticks that were fitted as standard and replaced them with two 512Mb sticks. However the system does not see the new RAM as 512 Mb sticks but each as 256Mb. The computer operates correctly apart from the RAM being 512Mb when it should be 1024Mb.
I have fitted 2 x 512Mb 200 SODIMM PC 2700 CL2.5.
I have removed 2 x 256Mb 200 SODIMM PC2700 CL2.5
The laptop is a Sony Vaio PCG-K76P
Go to controlpanel -settings -hardware manager -search for new hardware. automaticaly your system deduct.it as 1024mb. ok try it allthe best.
