You need to know if the heat strips are energized by a contactor or relay as opposed to a heat sequencer. as a general rule the contactor or relay clicks shut as soon as a call for heat is made and the fan is energized by the stat at the same time . instant heat strips and instant fan. if the heat strips have a sequencer it may take up to 90 seconds or so before the sequencer heats up then clicks and puts power to the strips and the fan motor at the same time. the high voltage usually feeds from the strip side of the sequencer through the normally closed side of the fan relay. if you changed the stat and didn't switch the fan setting switch to elec, the fan will not be energized by the stat. if it is in the gas position, you have told it that the sequencer is bringing on the fan and of course it won' t if you don't have a sequencer.. this is tough stuff to trace even for an experienced pro cause its interconnected so dual fan speeds can't be energized at the same time. most likely you have a new digital stat that was not programmed correctly to bring fan on in heat. good luck

The heat coil stays on for 10-15sec after the fan shuts off. I have replace the thermostat and that did nothing to help. It is a VERY old unit. what can I do other than replace the unit?

Toget proper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by anOHMs metre. If it's with heatingelement check power to element. If power is there but still no heat meanselement defective. Replace new heating element. Thanks.

Intertherm 13 SEER split air conditioner fans wont turn on?

OUTSIDE FAN OR INSIDE FAN OR BOTH. IF BOTH CHECK THERMOSTAT WIRE HOOK UP. IF YOU INSTALLED NEW TSTAT CHECK FOR JUMPER ON RH-RC TERMINALS ON TSTAT BACK PLATE. IF INSIDE FAN COMES ON WITH FAN IN ON SETTING AT FAN ON AUTO LEVER THAN PROBLEM IS AT OUTSIDE UNIT. CHECK FUSES IN BOX ON OUTSIDE WALL. SHUT OFF BREAKER FIRST.

Our fan for the intertherm p3ra-024k will not shut off. We have put new wiring from thermostat to unit. He pulled the green wire like the serviceman told him to when he serviced it and it still keeps...

You have a problem with the wiring somewhere it could be in the thermostat. When the service man said pull the green wire off that was the power to the fan. The thermostat should wire up as red to the R terminal on the thermostat this is the 24 volt feed to your thermostat and to the unit. The white wire should hook up to the W terminal on thermostat. This white wire is to the heating section of your furnance it activates the heat mode. The yellow wire hooks up to the Y terminal on the thermostat this is the outside condensing unit control for the a/c. The green wire should hook up to the G terminal on the thermostat this is your fan wire that activates the blower in your furnance If this wiring isn't hooked up as such then your problem is in the wiring from thermostat to units inside and out. Also if you have changed the thermostat you need to be aware of the setting for the thermostat and the type unit you have. Most thermostats are universal however, you need to make sure that on the thermostat the setting for heat pump on the thermostat it will have a small switch and on switch will have hp at the top and nonhp at the bottom. If you have a heat pump you need to make sure that the setting on the thermostat is on hp if not a heat pump nonhp is the setting. Also there will be a switch that has g at the top and e at the bottom This is you gas or electric heating seletor switch make sure this switch is in the proper position for either gas or electric heat. Good luck on your repairs Hope this helped

I have an intertherm electric furnace FEH-A020, with multispeed blower installed when A/C added. My problem is blower operation. at the end of the cooling season with fan set to auto operation the fan ran...

The model of T-stat you gave comes up as a discontinued model on Honeywell's web site, but it looks to be a manual stat that type of stat would have to be wired with a summer winter switch with electric heat, allowing it to turn on the fan with a call for heat. If yours is a programmable T-stat you would need to select electric heat or in the installers set up change the default setting for fan from unit controls fan in heat to thermostat controls fan.

Rheem heat pump. blower will not turn off

The fans are set to delay for 60-90 seconds to remove all heat from the heat exchanger/heater elements.

If the fan runs any longer than 3-4 minutes after the Emergency Heat shuts off, you may have a bad sequencing relay in the air handler.

Intertherm heating

My heating unit is blowing cool air. The thermostat will start the blower when the unit is turned on at the thermostat, but the air isn't hot. But,when I turn the unit on at the furnace/blower using the "Fan On" button, I can see the heating element heat up. After the blower starts the heating element does out. What could be the problem?
