Question about ASUS Eee 4G Notebook

1 Answer

Failing to boot

My EEEPC was working just fine yesterday, but this morning when I pushed the power button, the starting up screen appeared but then never produced my desktop. I've tried shutting it down and re-booting, but it still does the same thing. I've even tried running it with just the battery and not the plug and vice versa.

Got any suggestions. I've only had it one year.

Try booting in safe mode ( hit F8 after post screen ) and try a system restore, if that doesn't work you'll have to use your recovery disk and choose the option "repair my pc"

hope this helps

Won't Boot after pressing the power buttton

Unplug the tower and press power button for 60 seconds, if this fails the motherboard should be suspect, check all plugin connections to the motherboard especially power supply connectors.

Phone was charged yesterday and was working fine last night- This morning there is only a black screen / on/off button does nothing What is prob

Take out the battery and wait for 2 minutes. Re-insert the battery, try booting. If it doesn't work, then check whether the battery is charged or not.Give it for charging, wait a few moments it wont start charging immediately if fully discharged. Kindly comment if the problem persists.

it can be problem with your output device but now don't worry because still you have chance to correct it ; ).
First DON'T WORRY BE CLAIM..

Plug out and plug in the battery,...DOES IT WORKS..

IF no, then check your output device by plugin monitor on the port.. again if doen't happen anything then... you have to go to near service center and have a check....

HOPE IT WORKS,,,ALL THE BEST.. ; )

When I turn On my EEEPC 1005HA is not able to start up and goes to system recovery. is just 6 month old..

youre having no boot issues,
> enter advance boot menu by pressing F8 after pushing power button to turn on system, keep tapping on F8 until you get to the advance menu screen
> select last known good config then enter,
> if still no boot, go back to advance boot menu select disable automatic restart when system fail to see if system is getting Bluescreen error
> if there is bluescreen read it out to see if caused by hardware or software
> if no bluescreen then last thing you an do is to back-up files with help of local tech then restore system to factory default or reformat harddrive, OS might be corrupt
