Question about GE 25931EE1 Phone

1 Answer

Expandable handsets lose activation:

My expandable handsets will only work after they have been placed on the main base to activate. When I carry them to another room and set them on the charger at any time they are no longer activated until I take them back to the main base. They will charge on the expanded base but the phone cannot be used until put back on the main base. I have four additional handsets and they all lose the activation when placed on their charger. Re: Expandable handsets lose activation:

USer manual requires,
full charge 16 hours for expandable handsets, then place in cradle ~20 seconds until 'ready' is displayed on the screen.
If power is lost the handset may have to be re-registered.

if the units are not fully charged when you register them the registration may be lost, can only suggest reversing the order, by fully charging the device then registering to see if the registration holds

I have a GE cord and cordless speaker model: 26955-GE 900mhz phone which i have had for eight year and I would like to add another cordless phone which GE phone is compatible to what I'm currently using....

If you mean you'd like to add another handset to the base unit on this phone, I'm afraid you can't. This isn't a multi-handset phone and isn't expandable. If you want the kind of system that has the main base unit and several separate handsets, you'll have to start fresh with a new system. They aren't expensive.

Motorola MD400

Take battery out of handset for one minute.
Unplug base unit (power and phone line) for one minute.
Plug base unit back in (power and phone line).
Put battery back in handset. Place hangset on base for
one minute. This got my phone up and running.
I had no battery power in the base unit, but if I did, I think
you have to remove those as well.

Handset does not work

Your handset is no longer communicating with your base. Depending on your model, the solutions can be a couple of different options. If I could view pdf files on this computer I would look it up for you. But here is the link to the manual on Unidens website-

Nonetheless, give this a try. Power down your base, and pull the battery out of your handset. Plug the battery back in the handset and set the bad handset in the base cradle, and then power up the base. Wait about 30 seconds, then give the phone a try. If it still does not work, then you need to try to "re-register" the bad handset back to the base. Look in the manual under "registration" procedures. Hope my help fixes it for you. Good Luck, CG
