I have a dell 926 series printer lost the booklet how do i load the paper

You posting shows a Dell 3100cn printer (laser), but you say it's a 926 (inkjet). If a 3100, pull the bottom paper cassette tray out and load the paper. Make sure the sttigs for the paper are correct, e.g. "Letter". If it's a 926, the paper goes in vertically at the top rear of the printer.

I have a Dell 3100cn that will not print as it continually states Load Tray Letter. The tray is loaded, I have rebooted multiple times any other thoughts?

The paper sensor is likely malfunctioning or there is a paper jam causing the printer to "think" that there is no paper in it.

Paper won't pick up from the paper tray. I keep getting a load error message or paper tray message no matter how I load the paper. I get the codes "A4" and "024-964" Thanks

Check your printer for paper size and type settings. Ensure they are set to letter and plain1. Also check the program you are printing from (Word, wordperfect, etc) and ensure the paper size is correct there as well.

Will not print

This usually happens when the paper tray is set to the incorrect paper size.
This printer determines what size paper is installed in it by the little "fingers" on the left side of the tray. When you adjust the paper tray, it determines how those fingers are positioned, and therefore, how the switch reads the paper size.

If the tray setting is off, even by one little click, then the machine may read the paper size as other then letter. If this happens, you send a letter size job to the printer, and it doesnt think it has letter size paper, it will tell you to put letter paper in the MPF feeder.

If the tray is definately set to letter, but the machine still thinks it does not have letter, then the tray or the switch that reads the tray is defective, but 99% of the time it is just the tray is not set correctly.

The MPF door can be open or closed 100% of the time with NO EFFECT on how the printer works.

Dell 3100cn Printer will not print

I had to actually change the settings in Microsoft Word to resolve this problem.

If you go to page setup > paper source > there should be lists for "first page" and "other pages".

You can set this to "as per printer settings" and hopefully it should work.

Load tray message

It may not be the size settings, it may be that you need to reinstall the driver software. The Best thing to do first is unhook the pritner from the computer and uninstall the printers software. Once it's uninstalled, Reboot the computer. then Reinstall the Software, inserting the pritner cable when advised to, this usually resolves the issue, If it doesnt, then there is eithe a firmware or a sensor or feeder failure. Those are best to be troubleshooted by Dell themselves.

check the tray for a special piece of plastic that, when rotated or adjusted some other way, confirms the tray is holding what paper size and orientation. I know HP used this on older lasers.
