The way I do it to create in Word 2007 envelops. While a letter is still displayed look for Create button and select Create envelops. You select the dimensions of the envelop and the way it is fed. You will need to try a few times to be sure it comes out correctly.
Make sure to set the correct paper setting on the printer or the Lexmark software before sending the print job. Adjust the printer's paper guide to the correct envelope dimension.
try using paper of correct material. ideal would be 170gsm to 180 gsm paper. try not to use cheap envelopes in the market.
go and buy the envelopes with 170 - 180 gsm papers
I am hoping that you are trying to print envelopes from a microsoft word document right?
Open the document and go to the tools area and open envelopes and click the button option to save the envelope as a copy in the document.
This should show a picture of an envelope above your document and/or letter written. Highlight the text on the envelope and edit your font. Change the direction of the font to upside down.
Then print the envelope only by clicking on the picture of the envelope on the screen and then choose "file" and "Print" and then change the setting to "current page only" and choose "ok" to begin printing.
Load the envelopes the same way that you are now (with the printing upside down in the printer).
Print one copy and see if this solves your problem.
If not, repost your problem and I will help you solve this.
In the envelope selection you should also have a custom size so you can input the #9 dimensions and have it print. You just select custom size and input the length and width of your envelope.
In Word you create the envelop, specifying the dimensions and the way you will load it (face up or face down). Then you remove the sheets of paper and place a stack of envelops, and adjust the feeder so that the envelops won't drift while they are being fed.
User manual should have been installed with the software that runs the printer from your computer. My WindowsXP system has a main menu item for the printer. Mine says "Xerox Phaser 3124", but it's really the same as the Samsung 2510.
When you go to print, select the printer, then the type of paper (envelope). This can be done by going to printer properties and then the layout and paper pages. You will want to insert the envelope just above the stack of regular paper, in the single sheet feed area.
Sounds like it might be the same problem I had on my HP C7180. It seems to be rampant throughout their Multifunction printers.
My Fix, combining several others:
1. Go to Printers and Faxes on your Start Menu. In the Printers window, select Server Properties from the File menu. Use the Forms tab of the Print Server Properties dialog box to view printer forms. You may also see lots of forms that you wish your printer could see, but don't worry, it'll see the one you create now. And be sure when you create your form that you use the narrower dimension for the width and the longer dimension for the height. Usually for envelopes you will print in landscape mode. 2. Select the Create A New Form check box. 3. Enter a new name for the Form in the Form Description For field. 4. Use the fields in the Measurements area to set the paper size and margins. *Use the narrower dimension for the width and the longer dimension for the height*. 5. Choose the Save Form button to save the form. The Save Form button only gets pick-able when you type in a different name than what's there already.
Now go to your document program, such as Word. Make sure the window for the document you want to print is the active window. Select File/Page Setup..., Paper Size Tab, and there select the form you just created from the dropdown list
Still in your document program, select File/Print... then Properties. Select the Features tab, which may be differently named. Under Resizing Options/Size dropdown, select More... and there you'll find your newly created form down at the bottom, under Custom. Pick it.
If you're printing envelopes or other things where the way you view it it's wider side-to-side than it is tall, be sure and select "landscape" in both "page setup..." on your document program and in File/Print.../Properties/Features?Basic Options.
When I did all this methodically, I was able to print my Christmas envelopes. Yay!
