Question about HP Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

My HP Photosmart 325 printer has started making a lot of strange noises, I have changed the HP 344 cartridge, but is still the same and does not print. I hope you can help as this is a great printer and I am lost without it. All the best, Dave.

Check and clean the inside of the printer. (maintainence). make sure the ink cartridge is out of the printer, and the don't have any ink smear where it shouldn't have.
you might have to get a small screw driver to tighten down some of the screws.
make sure the paper tray is attached to the pirnter correctly and tight, nothing broken.
I don't know if you can discribe what kind of strange sound?

There may be nothing you can do about it. A lot of the HP printers make a lot of noise as they start up or prepare to print. Has your printer always made this noise or did it just start?

Easiest thing you can do to use old ink cartridges:
Move your system Date back to one year before the
Expiration Date(s) before clicking on [PRINT]
(Don't forget to reset the time back after your printing
is finished.)
If you need to print the same job multiple times, set
the date back, print to a File (instead of directly to the
printer), reset the date back and use CopyTo Printer
software to send the file(s) to your printer.

I recently bought an HP Photosmart 325 on eBay and my prints are very green"ish". The ink level is 66% and the print setting is on "Best". I am using the HP photo paper and have done the clean and align...

the reason for the green is that your red cartrige is not working to its full extent this could be one of two things. 1 your red is empty 2 the filter on the red is jammed. your best solution is to buy another set of inks and youl find it works fine.

HP photosmart C3180 makes a loud clicking noise when printing first page.

After inserting new cartridges in the photosmart C3180 and closing the door it makes loud clicking sound coming from the cartridge area and won't print.

the automatic cartridges cleaning is stuck, probably a mechanism dead or maybe a bit a dirt from ink splash. open it and try to clean it and check for any weird thing, you can do some cleaning but the mechanism need some greassy spot so do not be too clean. Cleaning with water.
There is also a thin small plastic band as long as the printer that the printer head use as guide, It's like a scale but transparent. Clean that one too. Try to run it when the printer is open, you will have to puch some button to make it run. you might see where the problem come from...
cheers

Printer will not start on time

Upon a prompt from the printer, I removed the color cartridge which had run out of ink. Strangely enough, this solved the problem. I can now print anything in black and I will have the color cartridge replaced or refilled.

My HP 2610 copier is making a strange crackling noise which is new...what's causing this?

HI,

Perform a semi-full reset on the all-in-one by following the steps below

  1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the all-in-one.
  3. Wait 30 seconds, and plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  4. Press and hold the # and 6 buttons on the numeric keypad.
  5. While still holding the buttons, plug the power cord back in to the all-in-one. Continue to hold the buttons for two seconds, and then release them
  6. Allow the all-in-one to re-initialize. This may take a minute or two.
  7. If prompts appear in the all-in-one display to set the front panel language and country settings, perform the steps to set this information.
Note - you can also try the Ok n cancel key combination in place of # and 6 .

u can also try the following steps >>

u can press set up on the printer > go to the tools option [ by pressing the down arrow key ] > press ok > go to clean print head , clean cartridge , allign printer > it will service the product .

The problem should be corrected. If the problem still exists, service your product.

Thanks
