To uninstall the current sound card drivers

First open computer management by right clicking my computer and selecting manage.
On the left side of the window select Device manager.
Now on the right side of the window click open the + Sound, video and game controllers.
Right click on the sound card. In my case it looks like this
no sound - 70c2c6e.jpg

Right click on it and select uninstall.

Now I recommend you restart the computer one the device is uninstalled, ones the computer restarts it will notify you of a new device, in this case click cancel and run the setup file that you downloaded from the page I gave you earlyer.

I am using a laptop for my music creation and I am thinking about using an External Sound Card connected with a USB cable or getting an Express Card Sound Card. My integrated sound card has a little bit too much latency. Will I have just as much or more latency with the External Sound Card because it is connected with the USB cable or would I be better off with the Express Card Sound Card?
Thanks for any help.

you might have to uninstall then reinstall either the driver or the sound devices
control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers or audio you will find 3 drop down lists make the necessary adjustments there or control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager, sound, could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers or right click select properties to either troubleshoot, uninstall, rollback driver

Incoming and outgoing sound

Have you checked in the setup for the Philips or in devices to make sure that it's using the new sound card for its sound device? It sounds like it might still be trying to use the previous sound device. If you can't find it, uninstalling and reinstalling the Philips while the new Audigy is active might just set it up for you.

Good evening

Try driversguide.com, also look for another number on the sound card. Usually just a 4 number model for Opti cards. Try taking the number off one of the chips on the card.
