My Sandisk wont allow me to download my playlist to it it says

Cant syncronize music to it

Make sure the songs are in the correct format

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

I went on YouTube with my Sansa Clip Mp3 Player to download music a video went on it then i downloaded music from another PC off Windows Media Player and ever since then i cant get the files off PC says...


You can reset the Sansa Clip by sliding up the Power/Lock button and holding it there for 15 seconds. You can download the complete user manual from this link.

Downloading music to my MP3 player, how do I do it. I have the music on my computer and I move to the MP3 player but when I disconnect it does not display on my MP3 player

When using the drag and drop method in Windows
music has to be dropped in the Music folder of the player.

Using Windows Media Player 11:

In Library or Sync mode:
1. Create a playlist e.g. "MyPlaylist"
2. Put music in the playlist
3. Save the playlist

In Sync mode and the player having connection:
4. Move the playlist e.g. "MyPlaylist" under / to the device
5. Start synchronizing with Start Sync
6. Wait until al files have been transferred:
a message appears when you can disconnect .

Plug it into your computer on MTP mode in settings and when you get to your music, right click inside the folder and select Create New Playlist

Yeah, I just went up and down their website. They are one of the few that don't post their manuals online. Many mp3 players have a "playlist on the go" feature (or some other such moniker) that allows you to create a playlist from the mp3 player itself, but will not transfer playlists properly from Windows Media Player. Other mp3 players require a firmware upgrade to fix the issue. Unless your manual states something specific about playlist transfer, I would go ahead and call Naxa to get clarification on this. Download songs from CD


i burn my cds on windows media player, create playlists (which is what u want) and when u plug ur mp3 in u need to syncronize it and it should transfer hope it helps

When you turn on the player, select the music menu, and then scroll down until the playlists logo appears - select that and then your playlist name should be there.

If it still isn't there, then the songs that you tried to sync have some sort of licensing restriction on them that does not allow them to be synced to a portable device - wmp will show them as synced, but alas - they will never actually show up on the player.

Cant play songs off my playlist

You can thank Microsoft for creating Digital Rights Management.

Okay...I'm assuming this is an MP3 that you loaded using the Rhapsody-to-go or other music service that allows for subscription music.

What the MP3 player is telling you is that because you have subscription music and not purchased music, the DRM allows you to only play the song or songs 30-90 days after download. To continue to listen to the songs, you will need to open your Media Manager software (Best Buy Digital Music Service, Rhapsody, WMP11, Media Monkey, etc) connect your MP3 player to the PC, identify the MP3 player through the media manager and tell it to re-authorize your tracks. Once its finished you'll be able to play your songs for another 30-90 days. You will need to repeat this re-authorizing to continue to play the tracks.

Wants me to "syncronize to continue music subscription"


I have the same problem, I have tried updating the clock using rhapsody, it should work for 30 days before needing to sync. ANY IDEAS anybody. I have requested help from SANDISK.

copy your music to your music file in my computer. Select all music that you want to copy to your device and copy to e: drive. This should solve your problem.

Can't add playlists


go to computer than click on Sansa e260
- Click on PPI NAND
- Click on PLAYLISTS
- Create a new FOLDER
- Give your playlist a name
- than put the music in it.
