Question about Sony KP-57WV600 57" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
This TV works flawlessly on all inputs except for DVI-HDTV (Video 7). However, when I connect either a digtial tuner or a HTPC to Video 7, the picture will be perfect for a short period of time (less than 30 mins) and then it will litterally collapse and the screen will go blank. The power light will continually blink 4 times until the set is powered on. If the set is immediately powered on after it problem occurs, it will work fine for a few minutes and then the problem will reoccur.
Diagnosis: Vertical deflection stopped. Possible
causes: +- 15V is not supplied. (D board), IC8003 is faulty. (A board)
Symptoms of the problem: TV has entered standby state after horizontal
raster, Vertical deflection pulse is stopped, Power line is shorted or
power supply is stopped.
