How do i turn on the keyboard backlight on my toshiba satellite L50 C02 X
Hi registrat342,Look on your keyboard & there should be 2 pictures that look like a sun on your function keys and 1 that is next to those but it has eyelashes and a box under it. Every keyboard might differ-but hopefully you get my point-as in 3 total 1st=dimmer, 2nd=brighter & 3rd would be the backlight. With mine-all I do is click it. Yours might be a little different. Hope that helps. Sherry

Hi,
This is the best way to download the drivers of all your devices which are connected to the system for free.
But you have to be patient.
First, i want you to download a ree program called "Orbit download manager" from the link below,
http://dl.orbitdownloader.com/dl/OrbitDownloaderSetup.exe
And then you can download a program called "Driver genius" from link
http://www.qwerks.com/download/6776/drvgenpro.exe
it is a trial program for 15 days
dont worry we only need it for 5 minutes
Install & run the program & in the windows click on the update the drivers
It will check & it will give the window with the drives that needs to be updated & it will not update a it is a trial one.
So you just right click on the driver name, you will get a message called 'copy url address 1' copy that & open the orbit downloader & click on the create new download & paste the link the drivers will be downloaded for free.
Some sites give these drivers only for the money & we cannot be able to find them from the free sites, so i think this would be a nice trick.
Good Luck.
Live, Love, Laugh.

My Toshiba Satellite A45 S120 keyboard has a problem, some of the keys are not working. When you type it does noting. Sometimes when you start the computer, it continuously types the letter eeeeeeee. You can hit some keys randomly and this will stop, but if you start a program (eg. ms word) the same thing happens.

There are a couple of things that probably got wet.
First of all, if it is still wet, you need to get it upside down, and get it open to dry it out, use alcohol to clean off the stained areas.
If you remove the screws on the back, and get the power strip with the lights on the top of the keyboard off. It pops off very carefully, but you need to unscrew the retainer screws poss in the battery compartment, or just on the bottom.
Also, once that strip is off, you should be able to unscrew a couple screws to get the keyboard off. There might be a screw or two on the bottom again, holding the keyboard down.
My guess is the keyboard is hosed, literally. I just had a customer who has a wine spill, and after clean up, everything but the keyboard worked.
Make sure you clean out the power area, up by the power switch, speakers, and whatever else is up there.
Worst case, you might need to take it to a repair shop to get the whole body cleaned out down into the motherboard.
Lastly, you can carefully remove the monitor faceplate with the screws hidden by rubber buttons, and then look at the electronics on the bottom and see if they are stained and wet. Your inverter could have gotten wet. That is the slim little metal/covered device at the bottom of the screen.
Get it dried out, and cleaned with alcohol. Many times the keyboard has to be replaced, but it still should start up if the rest of the computer is working ok. It depends, some models will not start up with a keyboard that is bad.
