Do nozzle cleanup procedure again first. I know it did not help , but this is the procedure.

You also need to test new cartridges for the clogged head color, I know they are expensive, but this must be done.

When The nozzle cleaniup does not help, it is usually necessary replacing , or removing and cleaning the printer heads.

Before removing the print head you can try an old trick, that consist in printing at least 100 pages of the same document with only one text line per page, written in the faulty nozzle color.

In your case you hould o it twice. For the magenta, for example, you write a document in word, with one line of "xxxxxxxx" in magenta color.
    And print 100 of them.

    Sometimes this trick works.

If that does not work, after testing different cartridges, you will need to remove the ink carriage, by unlocking the lever aside the carriage, and leave it overnight in isopropyl alcohol or cleaning solution.

An alternative is using a printer cleaning cartridge filled with cleaning solution.

When printing a red line appears about every 8mm through the all of the page i am useing a epson rx630 fred

It means some nozzle not perfect. If you check nozzle, there is missing lines for some nozzle. Example : Print blue color ( 100% cyan + 100% magenta). If some point of cyan head is clog, the output will be shown that at some lines just show magenta. It repeated. Yous said every 8 mm, so, you must print it at best photo quality. If you have print at best photo quality, and lines still appear, it must some nozlle badly clog. Try do head cleaning, wait for 30 minutes. Check Nozzle.

I have an Epson 4000 which has a clogged nozzle

I have an Epson 4000 which I started using new in Sept 2004 and my magenta is clogged too. I've gone through 2 maintenance tanks trying to clear it, (and LOTS of ink), but the magenta is still blocked. I even tried this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NR8g4qUAJc trick but it didn't seem to work. I hope you have better luck.

Epson Stylus R230 Light Magenta Not working

Print first a nozzle check pattern, self test which they say. Check your manual for your printer, it should be accessible from that if you dont have any manual, go to the epson website and download a manual. Usually the self test would go like this.

While the printer is turned off, you press and hold down the paper feed button, continue holding it down while turning on the printer. It will print the nozzle check pattern standalone. If you see all the colors then the issue your having is a color management issue, if you do not see the cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light magenta and light cyan from that test; then you will need to do 3 consecutive times of Head Cleaning from the maintenance program in your computer. If you have a windows xp it goes like this.

Click on start go to control panel - printers and faxes -
you right click on your printer icon and select printing prefrences. From there, go to maintenance tab and click head cleaning, go through that cycle 3 consecutive times and see if it improved. Good luck....
