Question about Televison & Video

I have a Hisense plasma tv and it will not power up. we had a power surge and it usually powers back up but when the power came back on it didnt power up like it usually does. What can I do?It usuall goes through this whole power up thing. I can't get it to do anything, but the blue light does come on, and that's it. Thank you

Try first unplugging the TV for a couple of hours, after a power surge the TV often stays in protect mode.

By unplugging for a while, you drain power completely, sometimes this can fix the problem.

It's called a "power surge," and the only way you can prevent a power surge from destroying a television completely is to use a SURGE SUPPRESSOR, and make sure that the grounding for your electrical system is optimal (meaning at least THREE TRUE GROUND POINTS, usually GROUNDING ROD, GROUND MESH, and PLUMBING GROUND). Consult a qualified electrician.

Usually should be under Warraty?If not open tha back and replace fuse and or the Power supply Module.

This a factory issue and usually requires service. Most cases it is a bad power supply caused by a surge or powering off and on too fast ... sorry I wish I had better news
