Question about Acer (D10709-002) (D10709002) 802.11g/b Wireless Adapter
Wireless connection always a problem and runs slow. my two other dell notebooks running xp and xp pro connect instantly and run fast. thought it was due to older netgear modem. replaced with netgear's latest 802.11g/b. no change
You can test the connection speed to the internet between the vista and xp by going to a site the has a broadband speed tester for free......ie......
Heres one good link I use all the time when I test any machines speed on the connections
I have seen good speeds from vista but lots of issues along the way tho.......
another thing is what speed is your wireless card,
54Mbps is normal or 1 gbps is high speed with the right cards installed..........
Please let me have some feed back on your dicoverys thanks

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
