Question about Dell Dimension 4700 PC Desktop
I have a dell 4700 dimension which has no display and just the orange light blinking intermittenly on the power button, I have stripped the motherboard down so no peripherals are plugged in just the cpu and same thing happens power supply fan wont even turn, but when I take the cpu out the power supply fan and heatsink fan both spin normally and the orange light goes ******* but still wont boot and no display or error beeps.
A Blinking Amber or Yellow power button means that the power supply is receiving power from the source but is unable to properly distribute it to the components. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Power supply is easier and cheaper to replace.
