Hi i downloaded Wipeout hd 2 weeks ago, it will load to the health warning screen then nothing, it will not continue. I have contacted Sony store but not much help....
I bought the new Motorstorm yesterday this will load up to the player selection screen and then will go no further, it is like the pad is not working but it is?
My other games show no signs of problems i'm in the middle of dead space no issues.
any help would be appreciated

So, I just discovered that I THOUGHT it was frozen at the health warning screen, but in all actuality it will only let you press the X to confirm that screen with controller number 1 even though it will let you do anything else with ANY controller. Silly, but true... Hope this helps
Heya Mark! it seems that Pacific rift has been giving a whole lot of problems to PS3 users. The game calls upon specific memory registers and multiple SPE's that tend to overheat the CELL/RSX processors. believe it or not if your thermal paste is depleted in certain parts of the heat sink, you will overheat the unit. try assassins creed and COD online, these are other SPE/RSX intensive games...if they crash also u most probably need to reapply AS5 paste on the processors before you do irreparable damage to the BGA circuitry...w do this for 55 (u pay shipping). if under warranty send back to SONY for refurb unit.1800345SONY. if out of warranty ull have to cough up 150(plus applicable state taxes) and wait 2-4 weeks for another unit which they warranty for 90days. and then the problem will happen all over again. lol

You'll need something like a paperclip, toothpick, or something similar
to push the button. Once you've reset your controller, connect it to
your PS3 with a handy USB cable, and press the PS button (just like you
did when you first got the controller). Now, it is paired again, and
you should be OK.

Exact same problem. I can press the PS button to exit the game, but that is the only functional button. It just hangs at the white Health Warning screen. I am not logged into PSN. A reboot does not help.
Any suggestions?
