The freeze/defrost cycle in the fridge on my Candy fridge freezer ( CPCA 270 FFK) appears to be fauly. I does not seem to go into the defrost cycle. Consequently, the milk, juice, any liquids in the fridge are freezing. Can any one help please?

Fridge not cooling.

Its defrost problem, the freezer should cool, then freeze, then defrost cycle should start. In your case freezer is cooling, then freezing, but its not defrosting. That's why fridge section is not cooling.-------

Why is my fridge freezing up in my candy fridge freezer

Hello there,
The reason your fridge is freezing up is simply because there is a problem with the defrost unit of the refrigerator. The defrost thermostat simply could have gone bad and therefore is not getting the defrost heater to start work.
Have the defrost thermostat tested and replaced once found faulty.
Hope this was of help to you. All the best Elect_Comp

Freezing problem

I think you mean that milk freezes, etc.

Probably bad thermocouple. In the refrigerators I'm familiar with, there is a thermocouple thermostat in the freezer. There is no measuring of refrigerator temperature; it just gets a portion of the cold freezer air.

If the thermostat is bad, then ice cream should be rock hard too, for it never quits cooling except on defrost cycle, three times per day.
