Wireless printing I try to add a HP DeskJet 990Cxi which is connected to a USB-port on a Compex NetPassage 28G (wireless router / printerserver / AP) to my (Toshiba) Vista Home Premium notebook without success. Same network and printer work well with other notebooks with XP. If I add printer manually, the printer will not response to the print command. Notebook can access to internet via wire and wireless without any problem. Please help!

Everything works just fine when connecting the printer directly to the PC, but this doesn't solve my problem!

Check the printer's manual if the software of this printer already supports winVista. If it is, you may connect the printer directly to the PC and check if you'll be able to print.

Wirelessly connect to hp deskjet f380 printer

This model printer only has USB printer connection and it cannot be connected to a wireless network directly.
If you have a wireless router then you can connect a print server to this HP printer and then connect the print server to the wireless router. This will allow you to print wirelessly yo the HP printer when you configure the printer server and configure the printer driver in the computers to connect to the printer port IP address of the print server.

Install CD of compex NetPassage 26G is lost, what can I do to install without CD? Many thanks in advance for your expertise :)

This router is at least 5 years old, and it does not support the more-secure WPA protocol. On that basis, I would "trash" it.

I checked the COMPEX web-site:

http://www.cpx.com/download.asp

and there is no mention of the '26G', although the '27G' is listed as a "legacy" product.

So, spare yourself a lot of wasted time -- go to the nearest "Boxing Day/Week" big-box store, and buy a new router, with new features, like 'Wireless N' and 'WPA2' support, and install it.

Connecting Compex 28g to mobile broadband and home network

please check following points:-
1) IP address (some wireless AP's follows ip address such as 192.168.1.1 for AP and 192.168.1.2 for 1st workstation, 192.168.1.3 for 2nd workstation and so on).
2) check connection options in IE. it should be lan setting and detect automatic setting and use automatic configuration script(put IP address of AP)
3) if DHCP is enabled then obtain IP automaticlly
4) check for any WEP security options i AP.
5) user must have internet access rights.
6) if Static IP is Used please give gatway ip (your AP's IP address) and same for DNS IP address.
then restart your system and enjoy internet.

Can not connect printer behind the rounter/printserver I try to add HP Deskject 970Cxi which is connected to Compex NetPassage 28G to my Vista Home Premium notebook without success. Windows just can not see the printer. Same network and printer work well with other notebooks with XP Pro and Vista Ultimate. If I add printer manually, the printer will not response to the print command. The print queue is on for a few minutes before say Error. Notebook can access to internet via wire and wireless without any problem. Any diff. between Vista Home and others OS which may cause this problem. I try already to turn off the firewall but problem is still there. Please help
