Question about Sony Handycam DCR-HC42 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Sony DCR-HC42 1MP MiniDV Digital Handycam Camcorder w/12x Optical...
My camera once recorded all day with the wrong exposure-- a pink & green overexposed effect. But the next time I used it everything was fine. Now the camera is doing it again and no matter what settings I change, I cannot get things I record to look "normal" again. I have spent over an hour adjusting the exposure, and ALL other camera control panels, but to no avail. I bought a new tape, thinking maybe it was faulty. I even let the battery run all the way down and then fully recharged it again. Please help me get the camera to work. Thank you very much.
It could be that the CCD unit is going bad. You should take into a camera shop to get a professional look at it. Usually that type of taping is caused from a bad CCD.
