Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I just bought COD 5 and it required a system update so i did it but it froze up due to an error so i clicked to ok icon and proceded to start over. I shut the system down and turned it back on but nothing came up no start up screen or anything. The controler dosent even seem to connect neither does the dvd remote... The light is green and thats it... If I put in a disk it loads but nothing else happens and I am able to eject with no problems
Well it seems the system update has "bricked" your machine. i have a shop and we see this all too often. sometimes if you pull the CMOS battery out and replug it that will work. the system update seems to temporarily "overheat " the RSX processor resulting in a no video output. letting it cool for an hour an repowering also tends to help sometimes. if under warranty call SONY or pay them 150plus tax for repair...and it can happen all over again with the refurb they send you.....(sigh)
we fix those problems for $55 (you py shipping)
