Question about Jabra BT2020 Bluetooth Headset

Jabra bt2020 will not charge/function

When I plug my device into either my computer or my wall charger the indicator light on the device lights red then green for a little more than a second, then goes out and does not indicate anything. It does not appear to be taking a charge as I could not get it to turn on after this.

I don't know how long you have had the headset but it sounds like it isn't holding a charge.  Contact Jabra to find out what the warranty is on the headset.

Jabra wave battery suddenly won't charge

The battery may be shot and incapable of charging. The red light could be merely indicating that the charger is working.

Red blinking light

Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).
Please take a look at the table reference below.

Note: After 20 minutes on a call or of inactivity, the light stops flashing to conserve power, but the headset remains on

My headset will not turn on

Hello

Your bluetooth headset is powered by an internal battery. If the battery is not charged,it just won't turn on. Fully charge your battery before use.

Make sure that the power outlet you're using is working and that the cord is fitted correctly into the wall, PC or Car outlet and the Jabra Bluetooth device.

Try unplugging the Jabra Bluetooth device and see if it turns on. If so, use the Jabra Bluetooth device until the battery is completely exhausted. The next time you charge it, check that it is charging properly

If the Jabra Bluetooth device is still not charging, check what happens when you initially plug the Bluetooth device into its charger. If the light on the Bluetooth device flashes on and then off again quickly, it is likely that the battery is no longer working. Batteries cannot be replaced or covered warranty

I am working for a company and we bought about 2 dozen jabra bt2020 head sets, i just worked trough about a dozen of them to find out not one is working. The blue light goes on for 3 seconds when i try to...

this might be the issue you are having

Cons: BT is supposed to work at 30'. Could never get more than 10' away from a phone. Worse, their batteries short out & will not hold a charge and the unit will not turn on after 6-8 months, max. I know as I have had 6-7 units all with the same result.

These must be set to learning mode to find any device. Hold the power button down for 8 seconds until the light comes on and stays on, then it is in learning mode and should find your phone

Jabra JX10 Bluetooth doesn't/won't charge

Not sure if this is a solution or if it occurred by chance. Like many on here, I put my Jabra JX10 away for a few months while not using it. The time come for me to need it once again and found that it was dead. Made an attempt to charge the unit with negative results. The unit would only show a green "charged" LED indicator as if the unit was fully charged. I tried plugging the unit into the charger multiple times, and took the cradle out of the loop and just used the AC cord alone. Still with the same results. I pulled the outside cover off (slowly), to be sure not to break the small fragile tabs that hold it in place. The battery takes up majority of the space. Removed the battery but DID NOT disconnect from unit. Plugged the charge cord into the unit and immediately got a red LED charging indicator. While charging, placed the battery back inside and put the outside cover back on. The unit continued to charge for a little over an hour before the green LED "charged" indicator came on. I used the unit throughout the day to test it with no problems. Not sure what removing the battery from unit did, especially when it was not disconnected, but it worked. I hope to see similar results.

Jabra a 210 adapter not charging

I contacted Jabra and they said this problem is due to a bad internal battery. There is nothing that can be done to fix it. So I returned it to the guy who sold it to me and got my money back. Purchased another from a different vendor, and this one works great. That's the only solution!

Steady Red Light

From the sounds of this.. It's all due to bad keying of the polarized charging plug. The solid red light PROBABLY means you're battery is pretty darn dead. It'll need a new battery(not worth the cost imho. get a new jabra, and be happy once again) At a certain low voltage, the red light starts blinking. when it drops below the preset threshold, it will shut off completely. If it sits too long at this discharged rate, the battry WILL self-terminate. If the voltage drops below a certain level, it's ruined. Also note, most Li-ion cells will only last a few years. 2-3 years of "full power" is usual. Mine's 2 years old(steady usage), and showing signs of it's age.

"My red light won't go off even though I charged it all night.
Also, a small piece of plastic came off the charge opening. I don't know if this is will pose a problem to the use of the Jabra BT150."

This is probably the most telling bit of information. It means you DID plug the charger in upside down. It will NEVER charge in that configuration, as it is supplying power to the completely wrong pins. If the battery was good to start with, it shouldn't hurt the headset, but never know. I have accidentily plugged it in backwards for a couple min before noticing, with no ill efect, but YMMV.

"Doesn't anyone from the Jabra manufacturer check this site?"

NO (especially not for discontinued products)
