Question about HP Pavilion ze2000 Notebook
It shut down on me but not completely. The lights are on but the screen is blank. I power it down and when i power back on in goes through the start up. I can enter my password and the windows XP starts to load up. Before it is complete, the screen goes blank. My DVD drive is trying to run but the screen is blank. I put the recovery disk in and it same problem. It seems to me that the hard drive isn't able to be accessed or shuts down. Does anybody think a new hard drive might help?
Without more information I cannot be sure, but I would say that it could possibly be set to use an external monitor. There is a FN key command to switch between your LCD Screen and an external screen. Try that. If you have an external monitor that you can plug into the VGA connection, that should tell you for sure. Good luck.
