Disconnect Footswitch from computer
if using a straight USB connection, delete all instances of previus installation.
reboot & reconnect footswitch (swap cables if not detected)

Well first thing to try in getting the software installed is to right click on the install file and select run as administrator, the setup should work better.
This is just a initial idea so use the add a comment function to tell me more about the problem
Thanks,

Ekse,
Thanks for trying to help me. I just bought this computer and found out after the fact that the programs that I need for class which are WordPerfect X3 and my transcription equipment. Now, the Olympus DDS Transcription Module loaded fine, but after I download my dictation and try to play it back with my Olympus Footpedal, I can hear the dictation comming through my earphones, but it isn't being controlled by the Footpedal.... The footswitch shows up on my control panel, but its not installed.
The other folks in my class do not have Vista and it loaded fine without software....it did not come with software....Also, my teacher gave me a WordPerfect 12 disc to install to replace the X3.....
She told me my equipment and software should work with my computer....and I don't know enough about it to disagree with her...can you help me.
I tried your suggestion, but the install file never came up...or where do I find it....does it not pop up on its own....Thanks again
