Question about GE 106591 Coffee Maker
Worked fine before.now nothing
SOURCE: Won't make full pot
Okay, try this, make sure that everything is cool first, then take a turkey baster full of hot water and vinegar and shoot it backwards through the coffee maker...where the water falls on to the grinds. After that, try running either a commercial coffee pot cleaner or just again, vinegar through the brew cycle with no coffee in there. Try it two or three times, there may be calcium buildup in the filter and pump. You could also try that CLR cleaner, but make sure you rinse the pot out really good, and run a few cycles of just water before you drink anything from it.
Hope this makes sense and helps you out!

I will assume the outlet is working and there is no timer that is set to turn the coffee maker on later. There are a few possibilities 1- the switch is defective 2 - there is a temperature sensor in contact with the heating element that is defective 3- the element itself is defective. these parts are all internal and may not be easily accessible without proper tools. All the components can be checked with an ohm meter. Also check for loose or broken wiring connections.

SOURCE: GE 169164 Coffee Pot Not Brewing
Loosen the charcoal filter. You only need to GENTLY place it in. Your problems will all be solved. I just did it 5 minutes ago and i just brewed a 6 cup pot of coffee completely.
