First, check to see that the RAM modules are functioning properly. It could be that they are faulty. Secondly, check the grounding and power connections and verify they are connected securely. Next, do a full system scan using your anti-virus program, or use this free online scanner:

If the issue still persists, it could be a mechanical failure of the power switch, or a motherboard issue, for which servicing is required.

You probably have a GPU issue. The solder melts beneath the GPU, when it overheats as it is working hard and it requires reballing with leaded solder.

My HP Pavilion won;t str up. I turn it on. I then

If the system turn on and off and again on automatically, sometimes the problem is in GMCH. ie in the graphic chip. There are other reasons also. You have nothing to do unless you are a chip level technician. Contact me if you are. Make a reply for this because I will get satisfaction by it.

How do I uninstall and reinstall HP tx2000 touchpad driver to fix sporadic mouse movement and "disappearing acts"?

Go to your device manager, go to 'Mice and pointing devices", right-click it and go to 'Uninstall'. Then re-boot your computer and it will automatically re-install the driver. Alternately, you could go to 'Update driver software' instead of uninstalling when you right click.

HP PAVILION DV2000 boot problem

Your could not be booting for several reasons anything from faulty RAM to software issues. Since you cannot boot to any type of working screen you will need to use the operating disc with XP or Vista on it. Put it in the CD-ROM and reboot. Let it run for a while and it will eventually ask you to install or repair. I would try repair first as if you install then you will lose all of your data, docs, favorites, pic, etc. if you have any questions let me know.
