Hi
I have been running to this alot...Yamaha, denon, Onkyo and most sonys, will have end up haveing the same problem.
Thier is a circut board and heat sink that end up over heating causing the V-out put and input, signal, in out ,audio output, basically all your in's and out put to shut down and put the unity in a safty mode so you dont blow the power supply.
Yhe sad thing is to get it fixied iy will cost over half the amount of the Reciever....thier's 2 options...have it fixed, it will cost you more than the Receiver's worth right now , or get a new one .
I have been offering to buy the Receiver for parts from the people tht I have worked with or they put it on ebay and get about 20 to 40.00 depending on HDMI connects.
I do have new ad used Denon receivers if they want to up grade.
I have been working on the Receivers for 11 years and its the same thing just in different area's pertaining on the Receivers.

If you have an 2006 with HDMI'a its 35.00 and I split the shipping.... older than 06 noe HDMI 20 and 1/2 shipping

You can call me if you want to get something about 1/2 the price or I will just buy it to help you out with some cash, its better than juncking it....

Flashing timer light

I doubt it's a flashing timer light, as Pioneers don't use one. I worked at Pioneer. What you have is a flashing MCACC indicator blinking. That means you have DC Offset, meaning a damaged amplifier. Cannot on the system but timer light is blink

The unit has no timer light. If an indicator is blinking, it would be the MCACC indicator, which means you have DC Offset, a damaged amplifier. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me directly through the site. Thank you.

Our stereo system suddenly powered off, the timer light on the pioneer xv ev7 is blinking but it doesn't turn on, what should we do?

Hi, If this isn't a "Timer" problem, meaning check your manual to see that the Timer hasn't been invoked and turn it off if possible, otherwise this usually indicates that the power supply has failed, that or there is a fault that has caused the protection circuitry has been tripped.
The very best thing to do is to contact the manufacturer, and ask them for a referral to an authorised service center, and then ask them when face to face only for a "Quote" first, and go from there. This way you can make up your mind as to repair or replace?

On a pioneer xv-dv8 home theatre timer light flashes and the unit will not switch on.

I found the manual here:

http://www.pioneer-latin.com/downloads/xrb3033a.pdf

This their recommendation for your exact symptom:

Timer indicator is blinking and the system will not switch on.

• Unplug the system, then plug back in. Wait for one minute then switch on.

• Make sure the fan at the rear of the system unit is not being blocked.

• Check that the speakers are connected correctly.

• Make sure the voltage of the mains power source is correct for the model.

• If the problem persists, take it to your nearest Pioneer authorized service center or your dealer for servicing.
