Question about Whirlpool MH1150XM Convection/Microwave Oven
Replaced the cooking light bulb several days ago...yesterday a loud pop and the light was out. Microwave functioning as normal, just without that light. I took it apart and line tested all the way to a thermal fuse? Not sure what you call it, it looks cylindrical, almost like a watch battery from underneath. It's mounted on the panel above the cooking light. I assume it can't be bypassed. Can one order this part and replace it? Thanks.
Whirlpool microwave - model #MH1150XM
Just did further testing...I stated incorrectly before, appears to be one/both relays for this light

The problem may be on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.
This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.
This often can affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on.
