We need to know the model number to be able to provide more details.  Look on the side or the back of the box for a model number (Eg Gateway DX 4720-03), and preferablly a serial number as well.
Alternatively, you can go to the Gateway support site and enter your serial number - this will provide you with a list of downloads for your computer, including the video and wireless drivers.
Get your drivers from here: http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/dlcenter.asp

If you need help finding your serial number, check this page for instructions: http://support.gateway.com/s/misc/custidserial/gateway_learningsu3.shtml

Hi there, On your laptop that can get on the internet, go to www.dell.com/support and download drivers for your Network Card and your Video Card from that site. Make sure you put in the right model number (dimension 2400). Transfer them to a USB key, and move the USB key to your desktop. Install those drivers and everything work will again. You may need to install additional ones as you see other things not working (like audio). If you need more help, let me know. -Alex

Trying to install a linksys wireless B ethernet card. When I installed the wireless network adapter it tells me I need to download a internet controller. Where can I find the internet controller download...

It's not a internet controller, it's the driver.
It's not the driver for an emachine w3653 (which is the pc) it's the driver of the Linksys wireless card. Go here
http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys
go to the page of your card and from there get the Vista driver.

How to install the video drive

I'm sure you mean how to install a video driver. If you want to do this manually, you need to know what kind of graphics card, the computer has. Then, search and download the specific graphics card driver from the Internet. Or if you have the graphics driver disc, you can install the driver from there.

Another easier method is to download and install this free driver scanning tool from here: http://xpdrivers.com/index.cfm or directly from this link: http://xpdrivers.com/download/download.cfm

After you install it, answer yes when it asks to run. It would scan your drivers and tell you which drivers need to be updated, and will let you update them from the Internet. You need not even know what graphics or video driver you have. It's simple. Try it out.

Hope that helps,
Regards,
Raspal

NIC internet connection problem

I would start by looking in device manager for any devices with a bang on them (a bang is a question mark or exclamation point). It's possible that your wireless adapter does not have drivers loaded for it. Usually, before a reinstall you want to back up all your drivers, because this will happen. I can recommend a program called Driver Magician Lite available for download here:
http://download.cnet.com/Driver-Magician-Lite/3000-2242_4-10521270.html?tag=mncol

But since you don't have this luxury, you now want to look for devices in your system that have driver problems, specifically your network adapter(s). Can you connect with an ethernet cable?

Assuming you find the wireless adapter (or unknown device) in Device Manager, you can try these things:
1. try installing a device driver; connect to the internet using a cable for now
2. update the current driver; connect to the internet using a cable
3. remove the device and let Windows "find it" again and reinstall the driver to fix a corrupted driver file

I need to reinstall my wireless internet driver

1. go to the manufacturer of your wireless card adapter
2. dowload the latest driver for your wireless adapter matching the operating system you're using.
3. uninstall the driver by going to start>right click my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager> go into network adapters>right click the network adapter for which you want to reinstall the driver and click uninstall (you may want to restart your computer). when you do the new hardware wizard may come up and you may want to do either one this:
a. if your wireless adapter is a usb adapter: unplug it, run the driver installation file you download in step 1 and 2 and replug the usb adapter as directed.
b. if your wireless adapter is a pci card: you can run the installation driver file you download or you may want to manually install the driver using the add new hardware that came up when you restart your computer and point to the folder where the driver is (cd or driver you download from internet)

I need a driver for my internet because it doesn't work (for other computer) It is a acer ast180-EA381b. It has the standard motherboard which I do not know the model of.

Try acers website, If you have wireless internet get a wireless card for it. Then get online via wireless and you can get all the drivers you want from www.driveragent.com for about $29/year it will scan the pc you want drivers for and find them, then you can download away.
