Fisher & Paykel intuitive code 37

Mashine works ok until reaches rinse cycle when pump wont work . Have removed pump for cleaning and found nothing.Pump tested ok on the bench but when fitted to the machine will not work. Pump does "hum" and when you get under machine to investigate can see pump trying to move. When you turn the pump by hand with the machine on can feel some resistance ( magnetic ) but with machine off and unplugged resistance is gone. Even with machine off but still plugged in can still hear pump "hum" and feel resistance. Could a capacitor be gone? HELP!!!!!

As a serviceman for 18 years I have seen this numerous times.
The fault sounds like the motor control module.. Assuming your test on the pump windings was ok..?

Fault code 37

Hello, code 39 is indicating you have an issue with the drain pump. The most common being the pump is failing. If you have been hearing any kind of sqeeking or squeeling or a rattling sound during the wash cycle the pump is failing and will need to be replaced.

Check the pipes actually work first. Is there a hidden drain filter that is partially blocked? Dissasemble the pump and check it works and the blades inside are clean.

Fisher & Paykel intuitive code 37

My machine is actually an IW811. But what happened was I checked motor see if it was spinning & confirm it was. But realised instead of pumping water out, it was going back into bowl, went straight to diverter valve, found control solenoid was burnt, was very hot to touch, even though hasn't been operating, only with main power point on. Suspect motor control board faulty as well. Replaced both parts & was fine after that. New contrl board has been upgraded & came with listings of all codes, explaining every code in detail. Specs to test switch, motor & solenoid resistances. But thanks to you guys for pointing me in the right direction, with what code 37 means in the begining.
