Question about Canon ZR500 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Hi I have a Cannon ZR500 camcorder as well and I also have the same problem that you do/did. Did you every find a resolution to your problem? I have only used mine once and have changed both batteries twice along with the chargers.

The ZR500 has a firewire port that is best for tranferring video to your pc, so a firewire cable would be needed -- and you would need a firewire card in your pc to accept it. It might also have a USB port (don't have it in front of me right now). I've never used USB to transfer video, but I think it would work fine.

2. This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. Try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be repaired qualified service technician.
