Ok when i turn on my camera, the lcd screen does not show anything. I can view pictures i have taken but when i switch to the carmera the screen is dark and dont know how to make it clear up. Please any suggestions would be helpful.
I have the same problem with my Canon Powershot G2. I discovered the cause is a broken wire which leads into the LCD display. On the G2, the display rotates; this is what caused the wire to break. I hope this is of some help.
I had the same problem with my Canon A80. The problem was that the shutter's motor was broken. At first it was intermittent and it became permanent after a while. A repair shop changed it, and the camera has been working great since then.
