The control (blue) buttons on the bottom of the screen on my Kenwood DNX7100 started flashing on and off and after I turned the system off and back on the blue lights would not come on again

Thanks for the info. A couple weeks ago I had my car in for some fabrication work and the battery was discionnected. Somehow all the programing on my DNX710 was returned to the default settings. When we recharged and reconnedted the battery the Blue lights on the DNX were lit again. So far so good.

It may be a fault wire connection inside the device. If you still have the warrant info either from Kenwood or the place you bought it, I would see if they can get it repaired.

I have a Kenwood DNX7120 and the physical buttons on the bottom (att, vol controls, fnc, nav, src, etc) suddenly stopped working. Now, I have the remote control, so this isn't TOO much of a problem,...

My unit has the same issue, started a few weeks ago.

Here is a forum post where someone was able to fix their DXN7120 by replacing the button panel: http://www.kenwoodforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1247

Here is a parts diagram showing the buttons (PN: X16-628):
http://www.pacparts.com/reference/880/DNX7120.pdf

Maybe someone could write up how to get the panel apart? Otherwise I will once I get the replacement part.

DNX7100 Remote inop

The problem I had was with the remote control unit for the steering wheel controls. It shorted out. The head unit was fine. But, when the sterring control unit is shorted it also prevents the hand held remote from working.

No video from a new 160G ipod

There is a known incompatibility with 6th gen iPods and the DNX7100. Try to find a 5.5 gen iPod or wait until Kenwood releases a software patch.
