I have a HP photosmart C3150 all-in-one copier/scanner/printer. I changed both ink cartridges on Sunday and when I closed the door the cartridges moved to the left and are stuck there. How can I fix the problem? Barbara Johnson/ jeanbabs57@cox.net

I am unable to get to the cartridges because they are STUCK way to the left side of the printer. I tried to reach back there but am unable to budge them. and they are way back. Any more suggestions?

I cannot accept your solution because I am unable to get to the cartridges to remove them because they are STUCK to the left of the printer. When printer is turned on tere is a clicking noise which sounds like the cartridges are trying to move dbut are STUCK. This is my second response to your first solution. You had probably checked inside the printer for any obstructions. A hardware reset won't help because of the mechanical failure.

Manually moving the print head will further damage the unit. It needs service from a QUALIFIED technician.

But you can try it if you want to and take the risk of rendering your printer completely useless.

One more thing, having your printer repaired costs more than buying a new one. Ask for quotation and compare the price.

To avoid further damages - the printer now suffering a mechanical problem & its better to bring the printer on service instead of getting the luck for you to fix it, if you have no idea how to repair such one.

Ok.remove the power cord.and try to move the cartridge holder by your hand and bring them to the center.than on the printer.

when you open the door of the printer you will see a steel colour  rod in the printer on which the cartridge carriage holder moves.if that steel colour rod becomes rusty at the ends the carriage is unable to move properly and it gets stuck in the corner.so OFF the printer.pull the cartridge holder with your hans it will easily get moved.apply any soft greese material on that steel rod and with your hand move the carrisge holder on that rod.if will become fluent and then never give u such types of problem again.for a longer period of time.

    feel free for further assistance.

Try first unplugging power cable for ten minutes.

If that does not work try pressing the on button for ten seconds.

    Try also removing the cartridge.
    Then unplug power.
    Put back cartridges in place.

If it stays stuck try gently playing with the ink carriage, if it does not unlock, then there is a fault in the mechanic, the motor or the traction belt are broken.

Hp laserjet m1522f error 5 turn off and on

Hi, Error 5 is a Scanner error. When turning the printer on, have the lid up so you can watch the scanner movement. Does it move smoothly? It should go through a warm up and you should be able to watch the scanner movement. If there is a problem with the scanner, there isn't a lot you could do except. The service manual says the scanner assembly should be replaced. If it was my printer, I would try to take a closer look at the scanner assembly and check to see if the scanner unit is bound up somewhere, or maybe a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the scanner rails. Let us know what happens.
thanks

How does the bulb look? Is it bright or kind of dim. The bulb warming error is designed to halt use of the machine until the scanner bulb reaches the correct output level. As these are basically a flourescent tube, they will dim over time and at a certain point they will not generate enough light to enable proper scanning. If the bulb is dim, it will require replacement.

Why does canon MP258 printer with scanner can't scan japanese yen paper bill amount 10,000. I tried it over 10 times but it stops,. And when i tried US paper bill, it works well. I need some explanation...

When you scan with any scanner it utilised the software with "Optical Character Recognition functions, usually abbreviated to OCR -> OCR is a field of research in pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and computer vision." to scan and record the scanned object, sometimes it does not or cannot recognise certain symbols or characters because of man made software & hardware have its limitations too.

Hope it helps.

HP printer psc 2210 all in one

Chances are that you didn't lock down the scanner when you moved the unit. You can attempt to open the unit and move the scanner bar manually to reset it. HPs are very difficult beasts when it comes to their power up check out. It must be fully functional...including all cartridges...to work in most cases. Good luck.
