How to repair a broken dryer belt from a Double Decker Washer and Dryer. ... I have a Kenmore stackable Washer-Dryer, and the dryer belt is ...
broken belt or broken broken belt switch most likely. Open the door. Hold in the door switch and push the start button. Does the drum turn? If it does turn then the broken belt micro switch is where I would look first. If the drum don't turn of course I would replace the broken belt. The only Kenmore dryer that has a broken belt switch is the 4 wheel drive model. Here is a video which shows how to get into this dryer and replace the belt:
Hi, The reason for "F dl" flash is that if your machine doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows: If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely if it's frozen or stiff replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt. If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. Thank you !!
Looks like my Maytag. My dryer belt is broken so doesn't tumble. Check by taking two screws out of tilted panel and look at belt.
If it isn't heating probably heat coil. If nothing probably electrical. Maybe door switch is open circuited.
hi.. When your dryer drum isn’t turning anymore, it’s usually a broken belt.
Tearing the dryer apart is usually straight-forward enough but
stringing the new belt on the motor and idler pulley can be tricky. The
Complete Encyclopedia of Dryer Belt Configurations shows the belt configurations for almost every dryer brand you can think of.
Could be the pump itself or the belt driving it... many of the older type washers run the pump off of a drive belt and many of these pumps get clogged with material so that they do not pump... usually, you can unbolt the pump and seperate the pump casing to access the impellor and clean out the insides.. As always.. be certain to unplug the washer first..
Hope this helps
