I have the same problem...green screen but the menu is in color...also the color is fine when there is an digital input. Also, the color is good when the POP function is being used where there are 2 separate pictures side by side on the same screen...but returns to green when you go back to single picture/full screen.

Just this morning, switched on my Tosh 42" RP, about 6 years old, went and got coffee came back and the picture was green, just green. Sound ok. I tried all the inputs, same result. Menu comes up ok with all colours. Going to the convergence setting does show all colours and that convergence was ok. Seems like whatever handles the picture pre processing has gone? Help, I would rather not have to replace my TV yet.

The picture is clear but the colours are distorted like a sort of heat sensor is on the figures. Images of green and purple like shadows on the people in the picture

Are you using the component input. This is 3 wire video. If all 3 wires are not connected color will be off. This is very common. Cable may also be bad. How does the tv menu look? Press menu on tv or LG remote. Is picture bad on all inputs? You need to determine if problem is the source or the tv set by trying various video sources and inputs. If the tv is at fault but the tv menu is ok I would suspect the main board. If the the menu is also bad i would suspect the t conn board.

I have a WT46805 and the color is fine for standard video input, but the when same video content is sent in through the HD input, the resolution is fantastic but the color is almost a monochromatic green. ...

While you are in the HD input look in the TV's menu, I think it is in video settings for a setting for RGB or Y, Pr, Pb. If it is set to RGB you will get that green picture. If you are not in the HD input that setting will not show up in the menu.

I have ATT U-verse, (it's own remote). Using the LG remote, I try to adjust color, too red and too green, otherwise, BEAUTIFUL!! Now, it lets me look at brightness, contrast, but not color, just skips...

You will have to access the service menu. From it, you can reduce the luminance of the red and green bands.

To enter the menu, press the menu button the TV panel and hold it down then press the menu button the remote simultaneously.
In a few seconds, you will be prompted for a 4 digit password.
The password is 0000. Enter it with the remote.

There are two menus that will alternate upon entering it with this method, which one comes up depends on the last time the service menu was entered if it ever was.

You can navigate the menu with the remote. Find the selections labeled for R G B. This stands for red, green and blue. There will be more than one input available for these selections, make sure you select the input that your ATT-U-verse is connected to by toggling through the menus.

Adjusting your red and green;
After finding your proper input and your adjustments for RGB with that input, toggle down to the selections labeled as RGB gain. Reduce the numbered value by 2 or 3 points for R and G and press enter on the remote. Then press menu. This will return you to your input currently use, preferably the input you are adjusting. Using the same picture every time, such as a freeze frame picture that was not to your liking, repeat this process until you are satisfied.
Keep in mind that all colors will interact together. If you find that after making the R and G adjustments together tends to make your red tones appear to be too muted or more of a purple hue, return to the service menu as I described above and reduce the B (blue).

Going by eye is quite inaccurate but however; for a picture that isn't far off from your preference changing these values by only few points in the Gain channel will not make any drastic differences.

For a more accurate picture for your input in question, I recommend a monitor calibration tool such as the Spyder 3 TV. You could alternatively use a DVD based software such as Avia, but that is for your DVD input...in that case you could simply use the settings from that calibration for your other inputs by manually copying them and that may work too. The Spyder is my best consumer based recommendation short of a professional calibration for your ATT U-verse input, the DVD is second but both are much much better than the naked eye.

If you are using the color stream input make sure the correct color wires are plugged in the same on both ends. if color is off on all inputs and the TV menu then replace the light engine.

Mitsubishi wd 52525 lost greens and blues. only colors on screen are red hues.

This the classic symptom for component input wires being crossed. Check color coding on tv input and signal sourse. Green,Blue and Red wires must correspond. If ok Is the color off on the tv menu also. If so and wires are ok replace light engine.

I have a samsung2333hd and want to connect a dvd player using the connections marked pr(red) pb(blue) y (green) when i connect them all i get a redish pink screen then when i connect two of them i get...

OK no problem here. I can help. First reconnect the DVD Player to the tv using the Compoment cables. Match Green to Green,Red to Red and Blue to Blue.. If this is done correctly then you will have normal looking picture. If the picture looks like it is missing the RED color then switch both Red cables. The pix should look normal. Then connect the RED and White audio cables to the audio inputs . Now the Pinkish color is a result of the DVD Player not being set to the "Progressive" setting in the DVD Player Menu. It will help to connect a set of COMPOSITE cables from the DVD Player to the TV's Composite Input. Those are the Yellow,Red and White inputs on both the tv and the DVD Player. This will allow you to see the DVD player menu in case you cannot see the menu while in the Component input. The Pinkish picture should go to a Normal picture.
