Question about KLH R5100 Receiver

Open Question

Easy: How do you set the Presets on KLH Receivers?

Some friends have a KLH receiver and I can't seem to get it to save preset stations for them. They can't find their manual or remote. With most systems there is either a "save" or "memory" type of button on the front or I would just press the preset for a few seconds while tuned to the desired station. That doesn't seem to work. Any thoughts? I'm not sure of the model number because I'm away from it right now. I'm guessing it's the R3100 or R5100.

Thanks!

The remote i believe is required to set the preset stations. I couldn't do it on my receiver, but the option is there on my remote. I have several channels preset from a long time ago, and if I remember correctly, i did it all with the remote.

No, not so easy, this isn't like your average car radio, unfortunately. This was driving me nuts, too, but I finally found a manual. Hopefully you have a remote, since that is needed.

Once you are on the station you want to save, press MEMORY on the remote. MEMORY will blink on the receiver's display. While MEMORY is flashing, press the button(s) on the remote for the number you want to save the station under.

There is an internal battery that needs to be changed. it usually looks like a watch battery. Swap it out with a new one and you will have your presets saved again.

Have lost four preset channels on my Technika DAB 109CR digital clock radio and lost manual so have nothing to consult to get back these stations. Everything live but showing only one station constantly

Finally sussed out how to (re)set presets, overall you need a little patience:
Probably best to press Autotune before we set off and let it do its thing.
Press 'presets' and find a free channel or the one you want to change, leave it until you can hear the station its on play.
Now, press 'jog/select' and WAIT until it says <SELECT> (but don't wait too long when it says this or you'll have to start again)
Use dial to find station you want AND LEAVE to tune in.
Press AND hold presets down until number flashes.
Press jog/select once briefly (normally).
Press presets once briefly...it should now say "Saved"
Leave to save for a few seconds.
Voila!
You can now change station either by pressing Presets and moving dial...waiting for the station to load OR press jog/select to manually tune to the station of your choice using the dial.

Don't have a manual or the remote for KLH audio video receiver model r5100. Cannot figure out how to program the presets on the am/fm radio. Can someone tell me how or do I have to have a rermote to...

There should be numbered buttons on the receiver.Set the channel to what you want to preset, then press and hold down the numbered button you want. The sound will probably go away for a couple of seconds but when it comes back on the channel is preset. If you press the band button while you're already on FM and it goes to another FM,you can also preset more channels for FM.There should only be one AM band, then it will switch back to FM.
Good luck! Greg

How do I set the presets on the Teac T-R450 tuner/amplifier?

Hello,
You'll want to turn on "tuning mode" by pressing the button. Push the number preset you want to store it in, tune it to the station you want to save, then press and hold down the "memory set" button for awhile. The display should flash or some other indication that it is stored. When this is all done test the preset button by pushing it. If it stayed on the same station, it was successful.

I hope this helps.

RX-397 FM Station presets, both in Auto or Manual, DIFFICULT to control.

I took a deep breath and realized that I had to push memory twice. Once to engage and once to set.

Help with fm presets

I'm not sure on this particular model, but often if there are seperate buttons for the station presets you just tune to the required station and hold the preset button you want in until you hear a beep - then the station is memorized in that preset.

However in this case the preset up/down and enter/memory buttons are used - the manual is available here:

http://www.sherwoodusa.com/cc_manuals.html

and full instructions for setting presets both automatically and manually are on pages 35/36.
