Can't shut off wake up timer

RCA E13309

Somehow the wake up timer is set to "on" and I can't turn it off. Is there a way without the factory remote?
Thanks

I tried the buttons in the front before. I can change the time the set goes off, but I can't set it to "off". I have several universal remotes and I can't access any "off" setting.

That solved the problem - thanks.
    1. If the problem occurs again, is there an easier fix, or do I need to pull out the plug again?

    2. Any idea what causes the problem?

    Thanks again

Some functions are accessible/configurable via the provided factory remote control. Since you are using universal remote control, the hard reset is the only way.

If you do not have the original remote control, you can still get to disable the wake up timer using the front buttons.
Press menu and use channel down to get to TIME and Use the VOL+/buttons to set the wake-up timer. To clear the wake-up timer, display the wake-up screen and press RESET.

Hi,

Without the original remote there is only one action you can try, that is to unplug from the mains for an extended period of time in the hope that the unit will reset and revert to factory defaults.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Should this method be not corrective, then at least a replacement remote must be borrowed, accessed or even purchased. Pls click here for a possible replacement.

Is there some buttons on the tv set that you can manually set the wake up button to off?

if not , unplug the unit, open the cover and look if i has some button batteries that holds memory. remove them for 5 minutes and return them. i hope that would erase your wake up cal program.

Appears to be RCA TV.

The timer turns the TV/VCR on at a desired time. You can set it to
wake you up in the morning or remind you that a favorite program
is about to start.

1. Press MENU on the remote to display the TV/VCR MAIN MENU.
2. Press 2 to display the TIME menu.
3. Press 3 to display the WAKE-UP TIMER menu.
4. Use the number buttons to enter the channel number and time.
• After you enter the time, press 1 for AM or 2 for PM. Example:
For a time of 5:07PM, press 5, then 0, then 7, then 2.
• Press CLEAR to correct an entry or RESET to clear the timer.

6. To cancel the wake-up timer, first display the WAKE-UP TIMER menu by repeating steps 1-3 above. Then, press RESET to cancel the timer, and press MENU to exit. The timer is also canceled if MENU is pressed before step 4 is completed

How do I program my urc-4021BOO One For All remote to operate my RCA Tv (E13309)?

First turn on the tv manually. Next press the TV button on the remote once. Then hold the set button until the light blinks twice. There are 7 codes for RCA tv's and the model is not specified. After each code entry, the light should blink twice again. The codes are : 0047, 1047, 1147,1247, 1347, 1447, 1547. After you enter a code try the power button on the remote and the set should cut off.You have to start over with the set button with every new code. When you find the right code the tv will turn off. I hope this helps. The link for the owners manual is: http://www.oneforall.com/uploads/support/cc5ef1b7b389da162d2ac97bb9e94210.pdf Thankyou for using fixya. I'm glad to help.
