Tv is only just over 1 year old and will not switch on. The power/standby button constantly flashes at a regular pace. I have a Dell W2607C LCD Flat Monitor with flashing amber lights on the power button, any solution ?
You have a burned out main board power supply, bad news is the cost to repair will be around $600, best solution is to either contact the manufacturer for out of warranty assistance or replace the TV, The new TV is the best option from a cost and least amount of frustration stand point.
The latest switching power supplies have a different circuitry for the 5vs. If the 5, 12 and 24 are missing is because the microprocessor along with the power supply have not switch ON the entire power supply circuitry due to a defective capacitors. I would suggest to visually inspect the capacitors for leaky or bulging conditions.
Let me know if you required further assistance.
You get the monitor led flashing for two reason:
1 There is no signal from PC in case the PC is faulty.
2 The monitor has an internal fault and it is in protect mode.
Try first unplugging both computer power cable and monitor power cable for fifteen minutes.
If that does not work test the computer on a different display to find out if it is a faulty PC motherboard or video adapter.
Then connect display to a different computer, to test it.
If the display does not work on a different computer, then the monitor has an internal error, any burned capacitor or faulty IC will give you the same.
Blinking led and monitor not responding.
Check power outlet. Plug lamp into same outlet to show you really have power in it. If breaker in house is tripped, reset it.
Check power cable to the set. Wiggle cord at both ends and along the
lenght of it. Often the cord loses its internal contact inside where
the ends have been molded on at the factory.
If outlet and cord are good it may be an internal fuse. You must remove
the cover and look for a fuse inside near where the power cord comes
into the set.
Power supply repairs always cost $200 and more
to fix up.
Looks like you have an issue with a bad board, and hence no proper voltages. Best bet would be to call a repairman to take a look and replace the faulty components, or buy a new set, whichever works out cheaper for you...
If works with another computer, there is something wrong with the computer. If it doesn't work with another computer, it is either broken, or the cord is bad.
Check out your power suply waltage power bord and earthing working properly.
This mean there is no signal input.
Disconnected all the cables
form the CPU, while I was reconnecting the screen to the graphics card
I felt an electrical discharge by holding power button down for 10sec.
try reconnect and check...
Let me know what happens
Thanks
Kevin
there is no video signal coming from the computer.
try electrical discharge as mentioned above.
try the LCD on another computer.

Check out the fuse on the main board it must have blowned out.
also try to un plug the tv for 5 minutes then replug the wire and check if it gets reset and works.
if still the problem continues then its a power supply board error as somthing has gone short on the board that is why the tv is not working properly.
if the tv is still underwarranty do not open just call the dell service center to make it proper.

Pls specify "no input signal" as I've checked the power module in the monitor, there is a 5vs present on J935 terminal but not the 12 and 24 volts.
The power board had been checked and there are 4 mounting screws attached to the chassis(ground) yet the 5v, 12 and 24 voltages missing. Pls advise a proper solution, this is a common problem as they were previous cases about the flashing amber lights from the "ON" button.
The LCD TV unit is not turning on (with or without the computer), as there is no display on the screen, only flashing 3 times on the "ON" button occasionally.
