Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
I knocked my 360 over by accident when in the loading lobby for a game of halo 3. My 360 shut down, I restarted it and it still works fine! no red light and a strong healthy engine... all of my other games still work including halo3 campaign. When I am however locked and ready for a halo 3 game online, I get the unreadable disc message as I'm about to start and thrown out of the game at the 0 count ..... What can I do, besides clean a spotless disc and send my xbox in for repairs? I even bought a brand new halo3 disc..... wtf?
A lot of people are having the same problem with this game and other games like madden. I have seen one solution that may help you and that is to lay your console horizontally instead of vertically. This has help some people but not others. It seems to be a problem with the cdrom in the 360. Not the game itself. On newer models of the 360 this problem does not occur as microsoft have upgraded the drive.
If your 360 is still under warrenty I would send it back for repair or replacement, I know this is annoying but it may be your only solution.
I hope this helps

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
