Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Sharp CF-2216 PM light on

Can not make copies, PM service light (the little man) is on and will not clear.
I tried the sequence (Cancel,interrupt,0,interrupt...1,5,Start) yet the light will come back. Is there another code that I should do? This is a older copier but people are comfortable with it.

I agree that there should be another code entered. Problem is I do not have a service manual for this copier and the church does not want to put money into it, only time. So the question is what are the codes? I can not find the manual for free only for pay.

You might have to clear the maintenance counters for the drum as well as few others.
You should have a service manual to tell you the codes to reset.  There are several third party companies on the internet that can provide you with a pdf file of the manual.

A better place to get some copier advice like that is copytechnet.com.  It's a free website and you can find a factory trained technician who can give you the codes needed.  I don't know the codes for that particular model of Sharp copiers unless it's an AR series.

My copier is indicating CALL SERVICE MAN, i

you did service the machine or e technician which is trained to do the service because if the machine was service by a technician this would haven't happened, but this is not important now, the call service man is still indicating because after the service in the service mode the pm counter have not been reset, so if you have a good copy then there is no problem

Clear seviceman

The service man light is an indication that preventative maintenance is due to be performed on the machine. This is also most likely the cause for the faint copies.
This is true unless there is a code associated with the service man light...check the display for any alpha numeric codes such as H4 or L2 etc.

here is the fix: Press "C", press the exposure button (below the picture of the little man), press "C", press the exposure button. When you do this all the indicator lights will turn off. Now input "24", press the green start button, input 07, and press the start button again. Now turn the copier off and back on with the power switch on the side.

Press: "Clear", "Exposure Select Key", "Clear", "Exposure Select Key", "24", "Start Key", "7", "Start Key"

"little red man"

The "Little Red Man" stands for that the copier has reached it's set "P.M." counter and it is time to have the copier to have a general cleaning done. It is just a counter that comes up 10k, 20k, 60k, 80k or it is set not to count at all. It should not affect the copier it self. It has to be reset and set to "0" for no P.M. count.

Never heard of an F2 on that machine. But give this a try.

Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your WorkCentre and will help to clear error codes.
  1. Find the pink Clear button on the Control Panel of the WorkCentre.
  2. Find the button below the word Auto.
  3. Press these buttons in the following sequence: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] NOTE: All of the lights on the Control Panel should go out and the LED Display should go blank. If the lights do not go out, then repeat step 3 until they do. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the pace of the [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] sequence.
  4. Press the [10's] key one time and the [1's] key four times to enter '14' in the LED Display, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  5. Press the green [Start] button.
  6. Press the pink [Clear] button two times.
  7. The WorkCentre should now warm up and come to ready.
  8. If the above steps do not clear the error code, repeat steps 3 to 6 a second time.
