Check the Device Manager to see if the camera's driver and the device is installed. If not, the built-in camera may be defective. Try an external webcam through the USB port and verify if that works.
You can go to the manufacturers website to check if you have the very
latest driver for your webcam. if not, you should be able to download
it from there.
Go to control panel, then system properties, then device manager, then
hardware. check imaging devices to see if your webcam is recognized.
Windows Movie Maker (free with Windows XP) will allow you to make video movies with your webcam. Instant messenger programs (free) like Skype, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, etc. will allow you to sent the webcam video to other users.
Download the latest driver for the crystal eye webcam from the acer site, install the driver (will not work yet) then go to device manager and image devices, right click and scan for new hardware devices and then widnows vista will pop up saying installing the cam. Thats it. Worked for me.
hi, if its a built in cam , then the driver disk will take care nof it, now for chatting, u just need to open the chat applet, there you can find or go to "My Web Cam" that doed not need any software for video chat, most of the chatt applets are smart to locate your system web cam.. let me know
