There are 2 screws in the top under the lint filter remove them then with a flat head screw driver pop the lid up at the front then you should see the top of the element and there is 1 screw holding it in remove that screw then remove the back panel remove the wires and label them and lift slightly up and slide the element hosing out

I have a built in wall oven whirlpool gold mod.gbs309pvsoo controls turn on but no heat from element

Could be element could be Hi limit thermostat could be control. In that order. First step is turn breaker off and remove element to make sure the wires are still connected to back of element. Visually inspect element very good for burns or a white powder residue signally the element burned up. Next step is harder, need to remove the oven and take off back panel, there you will find the hi temp thermostat. Check for continuity, if none replace.

My Maytag Mod. DE7500 elec. dryer is no longer heating up. Starts and goes around fine just no heat

Hello,

On this dryer the element is what fails, the screws are on the lower front that hold front on. You will need an ohm meter to verify unless you pull the element out and visually inspect it.

Need instructions for replacing the heating element

First UNPLUG UNIT remove the 7 or 8 screws securing the back to the dryer, the heating element is on the lower right ride where the wires are going. 2 screws hold the element in position. You will need to transfer the high limit thermostat to the new element, reinstall and reconnect all wiring, reinstall back ...Now enjoy the fact that you fixed it yourself and saved some cash as well... Good luck

New GE Profile dryer DPSE810EG7WT does not work. I wired exactly as old dryer. L1 L2 and neutral. The timer comes on but the machine does nothing! Thanks, Roger

if this is a gas dryer you would only need L1 OR L2.... NOT BOTH PHASES, this unit only needs the one leg of either A 120Volts or B 120Volts phase NOT BOTH PHASES 240 volts A.C. not 240 V.A.C. as in an electrically heated element will require to heat the system, NOW ...be careful now because one hot phase is connected where it shouldn't be!!!!

Whirlpool Duet dryer not drying like it used to

If your duet isn't heating properly and you have taken care of the lint problem then you could have one of two problems. Either you have a bad heating element or you have a bad fuse or temperature sensor.
If your dryer is not heating at all then it is most likely the fuse or temp sensor. If it is heating and just not enough it is probably a bad heating element.
Both problems would require a repairman to come and fix normally, however if you believe it is the heating element that can usually be replaced by the homeowner without too much trouble. Just make sure to ask where it is located from whatever place you but the new element from.

After about an hour the breaker trips on a single element Rheem water heater. 2Meg ohm to ground from the element terminals: 700K between element termianals. theromstat connections to ground infinate. (can...

I would say then the heating element has a resistive short to ground. The 1.98m Ohm reading is high, but not high enough -- should be infinite. I would say replace heating element... And, when you install new one, make sure there is no water leaking thru heating element cavity and ensure area around cavity is clean & "in order".

Whirlpool leb6000pq1 not heating

Thermostat controls heat. There is also a

motor centrifulgal switch, in the element

circuit, that the motor closes to insure

the motor is turning. Try another heat

setting. There is more than one

thermostat. You may have blown the

'thermal fuse' too, which requires

replacement. The elecment has a contact in

the 'timer' circuit too.

It is possible that your element has

failed also.

Tripped high limit. Must clean the lint

filter and the exhaust vent tube and all

the way in to the dryer. Hot air exit is

restricted.
