boot into safe mode and run CMD.exe and type in CHKDSK and run that program to fix any errors. If there still is a problem. Grab the CD in your computer came with and install it. What I mean by that, is insert a disk into CD-ROM drive. Before turning off computer. Turning on computer and booting from CD to fix any errors. If that doesn't work reinstall Windows. How to install the network software please give the the software

If you have a network of computers, from time to time you will need to perform software upgrades and install new software onto the computers. Depending upon the size of your network, this can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Before installing software on a network, be sure to read the software licensing agreement. Most software programs only permit you to install the software on one computer per license.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderate Instructions
  1. Step 1 Power on each computer within the network on which you would like to install the software.
  2. Step 2 Log on to each computer with the administrator username and password. If the network administrator has not established a username and password for the network, you will not be prompted for a username and password.
  3. Step 3 Check each computer to ensure that it meets the minimum system requirements for the software download (for example, the correct operating system, sufficient disk spacemag-glass_10x10.gif and correct processor).
  4. Step 4 Insert the software CD into the CD ROM drive of each computer on which you want to install the software. Enter the software license number or product key code. This will be located in your software package.
  5. Step 5 Run the software installation wizard. Some software programs may require configuration after it has been installed.
  6. Step 6 Remove the software CD from the computer after the installation is complete. Restart the computer.

I HAVE THE RPINTMASTER GOLD 18 PROGRAM AND IT WILL NOT DOWNLOAD WHEN I PUT THE INSTALL CD INTO MY COMPUTER WHAT DO I DO TO MAKE IT INSTALL?

Insert the INSTALL CD into your drive and left click the Windows START button in the lower left of your screen.

For Windows XP click RUN. In the OPEN box type D:\setup.exe, substituting your your drive designator for D, then click RUN.

For Windows VISTA type D:\setup.exe in the START SEARCH box (substituting for D as above) and click ENTER.

This should work for just about any software CD that will not autostart when inserted in your computer's CD drive. If it doesn't work, you may have a defective CD.

How to repair workstation, os are win2000 pro in workstation

do you want to reactivate the win220 pro installation on the harddisk which now you cannot access?
insert win xp pro install cd and run the repair process
or
if you have partioned the harddisk, simply do a new install on another partition, mark this active and now you should be able to boot up and access the old installation.
copy the non-microsoft programs plus personal data (everything that is not in the windows folder) to the new installation,
then run every single program from the new installation

good luck

DVD/Cd Burner won't run programs.

All you need to do is that put the CD in the CD/DVD drive that you have access and not properly closed. For example here is the situation. I put a cd installer with a file named in the cd setup.exe and it is located in drive D: i access the file setup.exe and I run it or install.. then I decided not to install the programs.. what I did is that is did not cancel the installation but rather I immediately open my cd/dvd drive and get the cd..

What are going to happen? the installation is in the process and I did not cancel the installation properly. In the installation logs of the windows it still have to install the programs but it cannot find the file setup.exe that is located in the Drive D:.

Try to put a cd in your cd/dvd drive with file named setupexe on the cd.. that will solve your problems. TY

HOPE I CAN HELP

My daughter amilo 2727 crashed, i had to order the media set from siemens but nothing is happening when i insert the recovery disc

Caution: The entire contents of the hard disk including any partitions will be lost.
Note: The following message may appear when disks (CDs/DVDs) are inserted:
"An unidentified program is attempting to access the computer"
"Unidentified publisher"
Confirm this message with "Allow Access" if you are certain of the source
and its origin. This query is intended to protect your operating system and is
generated prior to system files being accessed. For example, it appears
during the installation process for programs and drivers.
4.2.1 Restoring the operating system
1. With the machine turned on. Insert the Product Recovery CD/DVD into the optical
drive.
2. Turn the machine off, wait a moment and then turn it back on.
3. When the prompt "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD …" appears on the
screen for the first time, press any key on the keyboard.
.Caution! This message will appear after each restart during the installation
process. Please ignore this message in these cases as the
computer is only booted from CD/DVD once.
4. In the "Install Windows" menu select "Installation Language", "Time and
Currency Format
" and "Keyboard or Input Method", click on "Next" and then on
"Install now".
5. Accept the "Windows Licence Conditions" and click on "Next" to proceed with
the installation.
6. In the "Type of Installation" menu select "User-defined".
7. In the "Where would you like to install Windows" menu, select the partition on
which you would like to install your operating system.
If you would like to install Windows on a specific partition with sufficient storage
capacity, select it and then click on "Next".
If you wish to create a new partition or extend, delete or format an existing one,
click on "Drive options (extended)", select the desired option and click on "Next".
The installation process will start. The hard disk will be wiped and reformatted.
Files from the CD/DVD will copied on to the hard disk and expanded, and functions
and updates installed. This may take a few minutes. The machine will
automatically report a restart.
8. Now follow the on-screen instructions until the "Welcome Screen" appears.
9. Remove the Product Recovery CD/DVD from the optical drive.
To install the drivers, additional software and to restore the online documentation, insert
the Drivers & Utilities CD/DVD supplied into the optical drive.
.
4.2.3 Restoring additional software onto notebooks (drivers, documentation, hot
fixes)
The Drivers & Utilities CD/DVD allows your system's drivers, software and hot fixes to
be installed and restored. The installation and restore can be performed without having
to shut down Windows.
Proceed as follows:
hope this helps- here is the manual address if you need to look at it---please feel free to post more questions as you proceed..

I am having trouble installing a PC game. When i insert the CD, the menu pops up, but when i click SET UP, nothing happens. I have tried going into My Computer ect. But the computer ends up crashing.

Generally, installation issues of a program require extensive details about the program and the computer to successfully troubleshoot the problem.
  1. What Programs are you trying to install? What version? Is it a New Game just released? What are the minimum hardware requirements for the game (Almost universally written somewhere on the game packaging.)
  2. What computer make and model do you have?
  3. What operating system (Normally version of Windows) do you have?
  4. What Video Card, What sound card?
  5. Whate version of Direct X (IN WIndows, Start, run, DXDIAG)
These are just a few of the details needed to assist you in resolving your problem.
