Casio gw-500, trying to change the bands, screws keep turning

For G Shock GW500Uthe screws holding the ******** are actually just one pin per strap the screw end is for decoration. To remove just get small headed flat screwdriver and push pin through it is fidely but can be done it took me 10 mins first time. Casio sell straps direct for about 10 pound cheaper than putting into casio dealer .

How do you shorten the metal band to make it fit your wrist?

If you do not know how to shorten the strap, the simplest answer to your problem is to take it to your nearest watch shop. Most of them will be able to do it for you for a small charge.

How do I shorten the mtal band on the Casio 4334. The back of the band has direction arrows but I cannot understand how to move the links. Can you supply me with directions and an illustration to assist...

Push the pin through, in the direction of the arrow. I used a thin paper clip and a pair of pliers. Poke it through by about 3mm and then grab it and pull it out.

How do i shorten the band on my casio 3319

You look for the end of the link that has a screw like notch and tap it out with a small screw driver (like a eyeglass screwdriver or any thing you can sub,) and pull out with a needle nose pliers. Be careful and out the band on a rubber or paper surface though.
Providing you have the tools. I did mine in 3 min.

Casio G-Shock GW-300 replacement bands

I have a Casio g-shock gw-330a and now find myself again replacing the band. So far, $60 on bands. They last me two or three years. To install the band, take the band and watch to a Jeweler. My local Sears does it for me. $5 for installation; $5 for purchase shipping; $20 for band. $30 every couple of years.
This cost disturbs me.

Watchband replacements?

On ebay you will be able to find the correct Casio band for your watch. There are 2 or 3 dealers that sell them but a little advice....don't buy the cheap ones! Buy ONLY the Casio replacement band and it will fit perfectly. You will need the spring bar tool to remove the pins that hold the band to the case. Don't try to install or remove the band without one....it will gouge the case at the pin stems and you will not be happy. They are cheap and worth every penny. Casio.com can also direct you to their watch bands. Hope this helps you and good luck!

Broken wrist band

The easiest is to bring it to Wal-Mart, or another store with a watch section in their store, if you buy a new wrist band, they;ll put it on for free. If you're feeling DIY, pull the watch band to the side, untill the metal bar inside is ejected form the slot in the watch, from there, insert the new band's bar into the slot, and voila!

Jim, you still need to remove the pins that the band is being held on with. You can use a small jewelers screwdriver to push them in.
However, I am having a tough time getting my new band on!
