How do I resync my ProCom remote with my ProCom Vent Free Fireplace? I have an older model, SSU320RHL-GB.

I ran into this same problem yesterday while I was trying to get my used unit up and functioning.

If you don't switch from pilot to off and wait about a minute before turning it to the "electric" mode, the remote will NOT light the unit.

I have a 5301. Connected last year, worked fine. Installed new batteries, connects and beeps, but fireplace won't light. All controls are in correct position.

I know it seems obvious, but sometimes over the summer people shut off their pilot light, and when relighting forget to move the pilot knob back to the "on" position after the pilot is going - check this first.
Next, you can slide the switch on the Skytech 5301 receiver from "remote" to "on" and verify that it lights the burner. If it does, you may need to re-sync the remote to the receiver. If it does not, check to make sure your wires are nice and tight on the TH & TP/TH connections of the valve.
If you are still having trouble, Skytech has a toll-free hotline for tech support on the 5301. It is: 1-888-672-8929 8am-5pm EST.

SSU320 remote appears to be dead. New batteries do nothing. I tried the reset instruction with no luck. Can;t seem to find replacement remotes online

Marcus, here is a link to where you can find 2 different type of remotes for your stove. Both are manufactured by SkyTech, a respected manufacturer in the hearth industry.

Either remote will work for your application. Just depends on how simple or advanced you want it to be.

I have a SSU320RHL-GB the unit works well in the automatic mode with the remote but when you try to go to the manual override the pilot will not stay lit, it lites but will not stay lit. It is very...

That is very odd. I've been in the hearth business for 15 years and have never been faced with this problem. Although, I suspect the remote receiver box is the is the culprit. To test this theory, turn the receiver box OFF. If you're unable to do that, remove the batteries from the receiver box and try operating the stove manually. If it then operates manually, it may be the reciever is wired incorrectly or the 3 position rocker switch on the stove, needs to be switched from Remote to ON. That would then override the remote receiver.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I Need to know whaat type of regulator is need for model ssu320rhl-gb Please

Here is a link to the owners manual and page 8 and 9 tell you about the regulator.

http://www.northerntool.com/downloads/manuals/177883.pdf

You need to a 8-11WC regulator for propane and if you are using natural gas you will want to keep the pressure between 3-10WC

If this is connected to a propane bottle you want o use at least a 100lb bottle.

Thanks

I'm looking for the phone number for the company. The wires to the remote receiver are burn't. Lost the manual, and there are no numbers on stove except the SSU320RHN-GB model.

Remote receivers are always a problem...I would get rid of that....you can work it manually with the on/off knob by jumpering the 2 contacts that the remote was using...or you can run 2 new wires from the same contacts and install either a switch on the wall or a thermostat...if the wires are burnt I would also check and make sure the Vent/chimney is functioning properly and not plugged before putting it back into operation

Remote not beeping or lighting stove

Sounds like you may have a similar problem that I have. I found a cable that attaches to the remote receiver melted to one of the gas pipes behind the panel. Poor design, should have been insulated. My heater just beeps, with red light flashing.
I just posted looking for the phone number for the company. Lost my manual, and need to contact them. Can anyone help?
