Question about Sanyo PLC XU35 Multimedia Projector
I have two Sanyo Pro Xtra's that are used about 30 hours per week and have both blown their lamps within 7 months. What would cause this? They are mounted upside down and about 25 feet high with no obstructions.
Do you know they probably need a cool down period before you disconnect them from the mains and if they are in a smokey enviroment they should be in filter cases

My guess is with them so high in the air, no one seems to clean the air filter often enough. Also, the projector is at 840 hours which is just a few hundred below the normal lamp expectancy. Also, I would wonder how they are shut down. Do they actually go through their normal shutdown process as requested by the manufacturer, or has someone that programmed the shutdown to just kill the power to the circuit. That would definately be worth checking.
